Thomas E. Bell
Thomas E Bell, MD, Professor of Clinical Surgery, Division of Urology, University of Cincinnati Department of Surgery. He has been recognized nationally including Best Doctors in America (Urology) and locally (Top Doctors, Cincinnati Magazine). Dr Bell also was honored as Physician of the Year by the National Disabled Veterans.

Dr. Bell received his undergraduate degree and MD degree from the University of Cincinnati. He served his internship and residency in urology at the University of Cincinnati as well. Dr. Bell is certified in Urologic surgery by the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Bell is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of national and international organizations including the American Urological Association, Alpha Omega Alpha, the Academy of Medicine, Endourologic Society, Society of University Urologists, Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons and the Undersea/Hyperbaric Society. He served in the United States military as a general surgeon, urologist and Chief of Urology in Vietnam. Dr Bell was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service. Dr Bell also received the Purple Heart as part of a group award given to the 95th Evacuation Hospital (AKA Hell’s Half Acre Revisited). Bell plays a pivotal role in resident and medical student education. He is the preceptor for medical student education within the Division and is an invited guest lecturer for medical student courses associated with urology. He has been an editorial reviewer for the Journal of Urology and has published more than 20 articles and several book chapters.
