Prospective Residents

The Urology Residency Program at the University of Cincinnati offers two (2) categorical positions for each academic year. No preliminary positions are offered. We accept only applications submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Additional information regarding the program can be accessed via the American Medical Association’s FREIDA online or through the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Graduate Medical Education (GME) website.

Other important points:

• To be competitive, a score of > 225 on the USMLE Step I is desirable. Scores from USMLE Step II are reviewed if submitted.
• A letter of recommendation from the Chair of the Department or Division of Urology at the applicant's medical school in addition to 3 letters from other medical school faculty are required.
• The Division of Urology at the University of Cincinnati sponsors visas on a case-by-case basis. No previous US experience is required.
• Each year, the deadline for applications is September 30.
